Reno Tahoe Geo Associates, Inc. (RTGA) has provided geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, and inspections for over 30 years. RTGA has a multi-disciplinary team so engineers and inspectors who support a diverse array of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Our work throughout the Northern Nevada, Eastern California, and Lake Tahoe region, showcases our commitment to quality and expertise.
At RTGA, we pride ourselves on our collaborative approach, working hand in hand with owners, architects, fellow engineering firms, and builders to bring a variety of exciting projects to fruition. The Owner, with over 29 years of invaluable experience in geotechnical engineering and construction management, leads a talented team that includes three Associate Engineers whose combined expertise exceeds 50 years.
Our team includes eighteen engineers, construction field inspectors, laboratory technicians, and administrative team, united to provide exceptional engineering solutions. We focus on delivering project-specific service to our clients, to not only meet but surpass their project expectations. Geotechnical Engineering
RTGA provides geotechnical engineering services such as geotechnical investigations, fault evaluation studies, forensic evaluation of foundations (expansive soil, groundwater, settlement and lateral movement damage), design of rockery and retaining walls, and seismic hazard assessments (including liquefaction studies).
Special Inspection and Material Testing
RTGA provides construction 1704 Special Inspection and material testing including observation and compaction testing for fills; observation of concrete reinforcement, concrete placement (conventional reinforced concrete, shotcrete, pre-stressed concrete, post-tensioned concrete, concrete masonry construction), anchor and bolting inspection, non-destructive and shop steel welding and steel construction, spray-applied fireproofing, and firestopping systems.
Small Civil Design
RTGA prepares plans, studies, and reports for residential and small commercial civil engineering projects, including site grading and roadway access, percolation testing and septic design, retaining wall design and slope repairs, lakefront and river revetments, and stormwater management systems. Many of these designs are closely related to our expertise in and knowledge of soil conditions.
